Everyone In the Pool!

In a desperate attempt at distraction from vet appointments and puppy swap scheduling for Shiloh, let's look at some of Tessie's adorable adventures. (I'm also sick as a dog in the office, or so I feel. Nothing like some afternoon puppy to perk one up)

As mentioned on this blog previously, Tessie & I used to live at the Lincoln Heights apartment complex in Quincy. More on them later. But, one thing they did which we loved (and honestly, a significant part of the reason I signed a lease with them) was throw a "Puppy Pool Party" at the end of the summer. Give the puppies who lived there a chance to check out their awesome, fenced-in pool area.

Those who know me will not be surprised to know that I looked forward to it all year. Tessie's grandma even came up to join the party! (Not pictured)

Tessie waits patiently at the door, displaying an advertisement for the party...

I was freaking out about letting her off leash, even though the area was fenced in. There were quite a few dogs there - some she knew, some she didn't - and people entering/exiting kept opening the gate. But once I got over my fear and unhooked her, she took off with the pack!

She even made new friends!

Dog on a mission...

So tiny compared to everyone else!

Doing the mom thing and trying to use this new experience as a photo op....

Tessie clearly wants nothing to do with me.

Some of her friends were in attendance!

Mr. Henderson and his dad

And, of course, Tessie's favorite part of the party...

...snacks.

I have to commend Lincoln Heights, this was a well-done event and only wish it occurred more than one/year!
